When John was age 25 and an unknown person was age unknown they became the parents of William de Selkeden [1] 1235. "Records of de Selkeden, later Selden, have been found at Ecclesden, commencing with John de Selkeeden (assumed to have been born about 1210). While the proof of relationship to the American family cannot be established until 1485 the birth of William de Selkeden, yet the name earlier and other de Selkeden's who have been found are included, for purposes of reference, in this pedigree, following a chart made by the late J.
