When he was age unknown and an unknown person was age unknown they became the parents of Theresa Barbara Rypka 15 October 1859 in Bohemia. KreidermacherA on page 4 mentions a Josephy Rypka as an early settler on Litomysl. It may be this individual. [In 1878] The Czech community proceeded to construct the church building but the problems were great and many people wanted to "back out." "On the very day when six or seven of the men were ready to start with their teams [of horses] for the church lumber, they were told [that] they couldn't go." The opponents argued that there wasn't enough money to pay for the lumber. Anton Seikora, on of the teamsters, replied, "It was decided that we build and we will build! We are going after lumber now!" The men then proceeded on their mission. "The names of the brave eight, so far as can be ascertained, were the three Seikora brothers, Joseph Rypka, Joseph Pirkl, George Motl, Frank Hanus and Joseph Strufus." RysavyPJ, p 7.
