When Hanna was age unknown and Abraham Ruliffson was age 25 they became the parents of Ralph Rulifson [1] 1769 in Middlesex Co, NJ. When Hanna was age unknown and Abraham Ruliffson was age 27 they became the parents of Abram Rulifson [1] 1771 in Middlesex Co, NJ. When Hanna was age unknown and Abraham Ruliffson was age 31 they became the parents of Elizabeth Rulifson 1775 in Middlesex Co, NJ. He married Catharine Somp 4 August 1775. (Catharine Somp is #975.) He was listed as a resident in the census report 1790 in Mohawk, Montgomery Co, NY. When Abraham was age 56 and Catharine Somp was age unknown they became the parents of Mary Rulifson [1] circa 1800 in Montgomery Co, NY. When Abraham was age 59 and Catharine Somp was age unknown they became the parents of Frederick Rulifson 1803 in Montgomery Co, NY. After the Revolutionary War, and prior to 1790, he moved with his family to Montgomery county New York, and settled on a farm near Mill Point, on Schoharie Creek. The U. S. Census of 1790 recorded him as the head of a family of three sons over 16 years of age, and three daughters, all living in the town of Mohawk, Montgomery county, New York. He died about 1820 and was buried near his home, a boulder now marking the site of his grave. His old homestead farm and house is now (1918) owned by one of his descendants, and has never been out of the possession of a Rulifson. RulisonHF, p 17. Mill Point is four miles south of the junction of the Mohawk River and Schoharie Creek. The Erie Canal runs parallel to the Mohawk River. "Historical Map of Montgomery County," (NY: De Graff, 1951), in NY Public Library. Mill Point is shown on the USGS Tribes Hill topographic map. A road to Mill Point leaves from the town of Tribes Hill on the south side of the Mohawk.. Fort Hunter, a larger town is on the north side of the Mohawk across from Tribes Hill. A road crosses Schoharie Creek at Mill Point and there is a cemetery about 1/2 mile east of the bridge on the north side of the road.
